“This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who surrender unto Me can easily cross beyond it.” BG 7.14

Surrender is the acceptance of the circumstances that could be unchangeable and not in our control, and the action is for carrying out our duty to serve Krishna. Surrender means that we are willing and able to carry out the apparently impossible mission, the desire of guru and Lord Caitanya, just as we see Arjuna doing on the battlefield.

  1. Surrender in Favorable and Unfavorable – in the beginning stages we should learn what benefits and hinders our devotional life – Read favorable and unfavorable principles here

  2. Surrender in knowing Krishna is our maintainer – Krishna is our ONLY maintainer – He is the source and supplier of everything

  3. Surrender in knowing Krishna is our protector – at every step, Krishna is protecting us and even more – Krishna’s plan is better than ours

  4. Humility – Mood of sunicena is very important to surrender – We have no qualifications, whatsoever and everything is Krishna’s mercy – We are not the enjoyers, Krishna is the enjoyer we are his servants.

  5. Full saranagati – Giving ourselves fully in Krishna’s service, using our heart, mind, body, intelligence, words(Six senses and subtle body.)
