Soul is the controller?

The working senses are superior to dull matter; the mind is higher than the senses; intelligence is still higher than the mind, and the soul is even higher than the intelligence.

Ever wondered what a soul is? What is that conscious living force inside our bodies? Understanding the difference between body and soul—between matter and spirit—is the beginning of spiritual life and the only basis for true self-realization.

As we change our clothes but are we are clothes, similarly we change our bodies life after life but our identity is the spirit soul. For the spirit soul-changing body is like changing garments.

Size: The size of a soul is one-thousandth part of a tip of a hair and it is not a spark but personality, each and every soul has its own swarupa or form in the spiritual world, when it comes to the material world it takes a body. Form: Every soul always has a body unique to it – either mundane or spiritual. Our consciousness and activities make that choice. If one cultivates a mundane material consciousness, then we get a material body like we do now. And if we develop spiritual consciousness, the soul takes on a spiritual body at the end of life. Activity: The individual atomic soul is there in the heart along with the Supersoul, and thus all the energies of bodily movement are emanating from this part of the body. Even oxygen from the lungs gathers energy from the soul. If the soul is pure, why does it behave like it's conditioned? It’s because everything is of our free will, if we make a choice to cultivate material consciousness, then the soul is covered with a type of the subtle material body (mind + intelligence + ego), and further covered by the gross material body that we see. These coverings are absent in the spiritual world, the soul manifests its full potential in serving the Lord.

Quality: All souls are sac-cid-ananda, eternal, full of knowledge, blissful, and eternal. Qualitatively, all the souls are of the same nature as that of the Supreme, like the drop of water from an ocean is the same quality-wise as compared to the ocean.

So yes our consciousness, our activities our intelligence are all controlled by the soul. Infact the very body we get is managed by the soul. If we turn to our friend, father, and creator and really ask who we are then we are considered intelligent. Everything else that we do is considered mundane and binds us in this vicious cycle.
